Grandstream - Firmware upgrade process

An important Firmware upgrade Software Patch has been issued by Grandstream, the makers of your phone system handsets.

To ensure this is received and installed to your handsets, Please follow these instructions:

  • If you have Grandstream Desk Handsets, please remove power supply and wait 60 seconds, replace power supply, and if handset screen shows upgrade request, accept the request, then wait for upgrade completion, this could take 2-5 minutes.

  • If you have Grandstream cordless handsets, please carefully remove power supply from 'Grandstream Base Unit' connected to your broadband router or network, wait 60 seconds and replace. Allow base unit to install upgrade, this could take 2-5 minutes.

Please complete the above process as soon as possible to ensure your device receives the upgrade. Failure to complete the firmware upgrade may cause functionality issues with your device.
